It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to the development journey, but it has been confirmed once again that AJ Styles will not be added to WWE 2K16 after his debut at the Royal Rumble. The confirmation came from 2K Games' Twitter account in response to calls and queries from players asking about Styles' potential availability in the wake of the event. https://twitter.com/WWEgames/status/691686587298504704 As they say, the roster has been locked down for a long time now, and Styles is far from the only missing star. It was always unlikely the team would be willing to break their rules to bring in one new character - no matter how high profile - given the likely backlash from players disgruntled at other perceived snubs like the Four Horsewomen. They could have counted on massive sales - especially if the massive spike in Styles' merchandise on the WWE store is anything to go by - so it would have made good business sense. But they're clearly not interested in creating an official new edit without mo-capturing Styles: and fair play to them for not diluting their product. Luckily though, the CAW community has a number of excellent AJ Styles fan edits you can (and should) add to your in-game roster immediately...
