Did Daniel's retirement happen too late for WWE and 2K to put together a commemorative game mode in the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion's honour? Maybe. We know that any new motion capture work takes place around the turn of the year, as does all of the new commentary. New scanning for an upcoming game takes place around WrestleMania season, so it depends on where WWE and 2K fit int he Showcase Mode development phases as to whether we can expect to see a yes movement in WWE 2K17. It's extremely doubtful that WWE and 2K would have been considering having a Bryan-centric mode before his retirement was announced last month. Now, a lot of people will be hoping they do.
