When looking to pick up the latest wrestling video game, one of the first things that many a long-time wrestling fan will do is to check out which blasts from the past are going to be featured in the offering. Over the years, the current WWE and 2K Sports working relationship has served up a veritable who's who of the wrestling business; from Steve Austin, to Ric Flair, to Bret Hart, and so on.

By default of being wrestling fans, we're all hoping to see some of our all-time favourites appear in WWE 2K20, and we'll likewise being hoping that this latest 2K grappling effort adds to the lofty roster of names old and new assembled for its predecessor.

More often than not, the wrestling legends included in the franchise tend to be those on good terms with the WWE at the time. Then again, there are exceptions to this rule, such as when Ultimate Warrior negotiated directly with 2K Sports to appear in the game while simultaneously being on bad terms with the WWE.

Ahead of its expected October release, then, here are some big-name legends who need to be added to the playable WWE 2K20 roster.

10. Owen Hart

For many gamers, Owen Hart would be their #1 pick when asked which legends deserve adding to WWE 2K20. Unfortunately, the reason why he isn’t at #1 in this list is down to the unlikeliness that Owen will be added to a game any time soon.

Famously, Owen’s wife Martha wants absolutely zero to do with WWE; hence why The Rocket isn’t in the WWE Hall of Fame yet. Even though any agreement for Hart’s involvement would be made directly with 2K – much like the previous deals for Sting, Ultimate Warrior, and Bill Goldberg – it’s more likely that players will instead be having to search for decent CAWs of the youngest Hart sibling.

Nobody can doubt Owen’s credentials as a legend of the business, with the King of Harts a two-time Intercontinental Champion, a one-time European Champion, a four-team Tag Team Champion, the winner of the 1994 edition of the King of the Ring, and, of course, a three-time Slammy Award winner.

More importantly, adding Owen Hart to WWE 2K20 would afford gamers a playable character who is a technical master, a high-flyer, and somebody who would be all kinds of fun to take control of. Then there’s the fact that, should Brian Pillman once again be incorporated into the game, that would give the option to reunite the famed Hart Foundation stable of Owen, Pillman, Bret Hart, British Bulldog, and Jim Neidhart.
