If this does prove to be Bill Goldberg's retirement year, then it's a bit of a clanger he isn't on the books for WWE 2K25. In fairness to the development team, they can only work with the contracts Triple H has thrashed out. No Goldberg legends deal or part-time wrestling gig? No spot on the 2K25 lineup. It's really as simple as that, but it does suck for those gamers that enjoy playing as the squash match machine who admits he was a "mark" for himself.

On the plus side, ATTITUDECREATIONZ exists. They do God's work with some of these older CAWs, and they routinely pick the best eras for each wrestler to focus on. This is WCW Goldberg, not WWE "Oldberg". Granted, the dude is still a physical force to be reckoned with by normal human standards, but...nah - you want to play as the romping, stomping, fire-breathing killer from WCW in the 90s, right?

Now you can.

3. Sting

Your writer will take any excuse he can find to gush with praise for this heavenly creation too.

It's Sting! Whether you want to work matches wearing his classic Starrcade 1997 attire or you'd prefer something from 1998 onwards, ATTITUDECREATIONZ has your six. This character model is practically dripping with hi-res quality, isn't it? You should see it in action. Plonk this Stinger in-ring against the nWo's Hollywood Hogan inside a downloaded WCW arena (or the few on-disc) and you've got a modern update on the old World Title calibre N64 games from way back when.

Yep, that's high praise indeed for WWE 2K25. The gameplay is buttery smooth, and getting to play with characters this lovingly crafted is a pure thrill for the traditionalists.
