7. Washing Machine - Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026)
Of all the films we didn’t expect to see a sequel for anytime soon, let alone a halfway decent one, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett’s Ready or Not was up there. And yet, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come manages to serve up a compelling and justified second helping that goes big on the cast and the kills.
2 starts precisely where its predecessor ends, drawing an injured and recovering Grace MacCaullay (Samara Weaving) back into the fray after she has slain the Le Domas family. Only this time, her sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) is along for the ride, and the elite cult the Le Domas family were a part of are now vying for dominance, with whoever kills the girls first taking the crown.
While the film is not short on brutal and unexpected moments, one of its worst comes courtesy of a familiar household appliance: the humble washing machine. Hunted into a corner by the masked, sword-wielding Viraj Rajan (Nadeem Umar-Khitab), the girls manage to outwit him and send him headlong into a commercial washer. With the thing up to boiling, Viraj takes a spin and comes out with his skin bubbling and sloughing off him before dropping dead.
That’s the last time we snap the dog in the washer for a cute Instagram post.
