20 Things You Somehow Missed In Scream 3
9. Angelina Was Originally The Second Killer
Scream 3 is the only film in the series to date to feature a single killer, but according to Wes Craven on the film's DVD commentary, Angelina was originally supposed to be Roman's accomplice.
This reveal was nixed by Miramax brass, amid concerns that two killers would uncomfortably mimic the two killers of the aforementioned Columbine massacre.
This information certainly explains a lot - namely why Angelina was really hanging out in the bathroom with a Ghostface mask, and how Roman is seemingly able to teleport himself around to commit his killings, when as originally written, they would've been more plausibly carried out by two people.
It's also worth noting that Angelina is suspiciously nowhere to be seen during several moments that Ghostface strikes, and when Tom Prinze (Matt Keeslar) suggests that Sidney herself could be the killer this time, it was originally intended to foreshadow Angelina - who plays Sidney in Stab 3 - being one of the killers.
