9. Stone Sour Releases Video For "Zzyzx Rd."
Last week, American hard rock mavens Stone Sour announced that on 16th December, they will be re-releasing their beloved Come What(ever) May album to celebrate its 10th birthday. This week, desperate not to let the hype die, the band have unveiled a music video for one of the record's most adored tracks: "Zzyzx Rd.".
Even though it's not the most complex video in the world (it's most just a guy walking), the sombre and emotive tone of the track has not disappeared over the course of its decade-long lifetime, as the usually roaring lead singer Corey Taylor displays his more sensitive side over a calming yet saddening piano riff.
Just as powerful today as it was in 2006, "Zzyzx Rd." truly deserves a re-listen.
