8. Oliver Wilde
shoegaze/folk/lo-fi electronica ArcTanGent will be somewhat of an almost-hometown gig for Oliver Wilde, hailing from Bristol as he does, and for the rest of us, his set, will be a welcome first viewing for all those hangovers come Saturday morning. Another with a debut album out this year, Oliver Wilde is going to be putting the sounds that full length boasts on display for all at ArcTanGent, but there's no reason you should miss out. His sound, and debut, is that of a dazed and beautiful haze drifting somewhere in the Venn diagram centre of shoegaze, folk, dream pop and lo-fi , ambient, electronica. Take that and take into account his whispered, and treated, vocals and you've got an immersively fuzzy, and stunning, listen to get lost in. http://youtu.be/7tP77qL0EfY
