Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Alex Jones is certainly an interesting cat.

The 45-year-old radio host has made a career for himself out of being a conspiracy theorist. And not just your standard conspiracy theorist, for Alex Jones is as extreme a conspiracy theorist as there is out there in the world.

This is somebody who questioned whether the tragic Sandy Hook mass shooting of 2012 really happened. This is somebody who believes that the US government planned the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995. This is somebody who thinks that the moon landing of 1969 was falsified.

Jones first appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience back in 2017, and that was quickly followed by a public falling out with Rogan. Skip ahead to February 2019 and Alex returned to Rogan's podcast after the host extended the proverbial olive branch.

What followed was a podcast that made for a gripping listen. While Alex Jones offered up some semblance of an apology for some of his previous comments - particularly walking himself back from the "crisis actors" label he'd spent years placing on the families of those tragically murdered in the Sandy Hook incident - Jones' brief moment of self-awareness didn't last, and he'd soon be back to championing any and every other conspiracy theory out there.

So spectacular - and outright bizarre - was this particular episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, future guest Russell Brand described the offering as The Godfather: Part II of podcasting.
