Some podcast episodes are great for just how damn entertaining they are. Some are great for their informative nature. Some are great in how they take us away from reality. For Snap Judgment's 'This is Not a Drill' episode, this was great due to the sheer and utter shock it did so well to summarise.

More often that not, the horrors of real life will always top those of fantasy worlds. And last year, the residents of Hawaii found themselves in the midst of some extremely real, shocking horrors.

If you remember, 8:07am on 13th January 2018 saw the residents of Hawaii receive an ominous warning that would send shivers down their spine.

Going all caps lock for dramatic effect, smartphones and TVs were bombarded with: BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

This would all prove to be some bizarre technical mishap - and honestly, honestly, honestly nothing to do with fears that North Korea were about to launch a missile in the direction of Hawaii - but that didn't mean that the initial panic drummed up by such a warning didn't happen.

What the 'This is Not a Drill' episode of Snap Judgment did, was it showcased those directly involved in this false alarm. You have to understand, these are people who were under the impression that they could have potentially minutes left to live, with life being flipped upside down as priorities change and instincts are relied upon.
