On the 10th of October, 1973, a strange flying craft was reported by no less than fifteen different witnesses in St. Tammany Parish, New Orleans. Two of these witnesses were on-duty policemen. It's this fact that makes the Hickson and Parker abduction one of the strangest UFO case in history. Parker and Hickson were out fishing on the Pascagoula River when they heard a buzzing noise from behind. After both men turned around, they realised an egg-shaped craft was hovering just a few feet above the water, only ten yards away. A door on the craft opened up, and three humanoid beings floated towards the frightened fishermen. The description of the beings is chilling. They were allegedly, "about five feet tall, had bullet-shaped heads without necks, slits for mouths, and where their noses or ears would be, they had thin, conical objects sticking out, like carrots from a snowman's head." The two men were taken aboard the craft, and subjected to a series of strange experiments. Hickson was floated into a room that wasn't affected by gravity and scanned by an eye-like device. Unlike many cases, the two men didn't have too much difficulty recalling their encounter, and took the story to a local newspaper. Unaware that there had been so many sightings of a UFO that night, the story took off quickly. The local sheriff became interested in the case, and even put them into a wire-tapped room with the intention of seeing if the two men would discuss the lie among themselves. Instead, Parker and Hickson continued talking about the occurrence as if it was something that really happened. Both men passed a series of polygraph tests, and many UFO researchers have since claimed that the Hickson and Parker case is the most likely-to-be-genuine abduction case ever.
