10. Kenny McCormick Is Real

Kenny "Oh my god, Kenny is absent!" doesn't really have the same ring to it as the popular South Park catchphrase we know and love; but that's where the story of Kenny came from: based on a real childhood friend of Trey Parker. In a 2000 interview, Trey said the the real life Kenny was the poorest kid in the neighbourhood, and really did wear an orange parka fastened so tight that people couldn't understand what he was saying. He would frequently skip school, inspiring the legendary joke that he'd died. A few days later, he'd be back at school again; thus creating the immortal phenomenon that is Kenny McCormick. According to classmates of Trey and the real Kenny, the real guy isn't a fan of South Park: probably due to the fact the poverty he struggled with as a child is now a running joke on a hit comedy show.
