When: 1900 Where: 'What May Happen In The Next Hundred Years' by John Elfreth Watkins John Elfreth Watkins wrote a series of predictions in 1900, in a piece published in the Ladies' Home Journal Magazine, entitled 'What May Happen In The Next Hundred Years.' One of the more notable successful predictions was that of television: "Man will see around the world. Persons and things of all kinds will be brought within focus of cameras connected electrically with screens at opposite ends of circuits, thousands of miles at a span."
