10 Common Nightmares That Everyone Has

10. Health Problems, Injuries & Death

Dreams about illness, injuries and even death are extremely common in people. Essentially, they are all said to represent occurrences in real life. For example, dreaming of being injured - such as having a broken leg - suggests that an aspect of your life is "broken" and needs fixing. Perhaps you are unemployed and need to find a job, or perhaps you have fallen out with someone close to you and need to make amends, or perhaps you're in an unhappy relationship and need to bring it to an end. Dreams about illness - particularly those about terminal illnesses - are said to suggest a loss in confidence in yourself or that you are experiencing despair, having an emotional breakdown or having difficulty coping with something. You may even be feeling that a current situation means life is not worth living or is depriving you of happiness - perhaps a job or a relationship, for instance. Dreaming of death, while morbid, can actually represent a new beginning. Perhaps a negative aspect of your life is coming to a close and you can start afresh - like a bad relationship that you are going to break free from or a job offer is imminent when you hate your current role. But not all dreams about death have a silver lining - they could suggest that someone you know or love is dying and you feel as though a part of you is dying with you, or that you are struggling to cope with a certain aspect of your life. Don't worry though, the rumours that suggest dying in your dreams mean you die in real life are completely unfounded!
