7. 80-Year-Old Woman Attempts To Restore Jesus Painting

An 80-year-old Spanish woman made worldwide headlines when she screwed up a restoration of a Christ fresco in a small-town church, transforming the damaged but discernible likeness of Jesus on the left into what, on the right, many have been referring to as "Potato Jesus". The woman in question reportedly took it upon herself to fix the picture, but a combination of artistic ineptitude and senility resulted in this hilarious botch-up which, to be honest, is a lot more interesting than the relatively generic-looking original. The general public seemed to agree, as well, because not only did the restored version fetch over $1000 at a recent auction, but it became a tourist attraction at the church, and has become commodotised on novelty T-shirts and mugs, among other things. Aren't old people just the greatest?
