This is probably one of my all time favourite extensions and can be used in a whole host of different ways. ZenMate will become one of the internet privacy tools you really can't live without. What it does is three key things, Firstly, it allows you to go around the internet with a 'cloak' stopping websites gathering 'cookies' and information about you. According to Zenmate, 'Website trackers from banner ads, website analytics, and social media are like eyes following you around the internet, reporting your movements back to HQ'. The app allows you to go undetected in more ways than one. The coolest part, in my opinion is a VPN (Virtual Prviate Network) unlocker. What it basically means is that some websites such as streaming videos, news publications, or social media are denied to visitors from specific countries or regions. You can cleverly changed you region, which is perfect if you want to watch the US version of Netflix. Just make sure you change it back to the UK region if you want to watch iPlayer! Finally, the extension also projects its users when using public wifi systems where someone on the same network could sneak in and steal information. So in that sense it really is a lifesaver!
