4. Pack Light For A Day In The Parks

Think twice before you fill up your bag with stuff, you could end up regretting it.

At the park entrance, security checks every single bag. This means you need to open up every pocket and zipper for inspection. Once you've made it inside the parks, you then have to carry all of your belongings around in the hot sunshine.

I used to take a heavy bag filled with everything you could imagine but by the end of my vacation I would be fed up and in need of a shoulder massage.

Go through all your belongings and decide if each item is really necessary. I've stopped carrying around a huge camera as I just couldn't face taking it to the parks any longer. I also buy travel size suncream so it takes up the least amount of space possible.

If you don't need that guide book or poncho then leave them at the hotel, at the end of a long day you'll be pleased you did.
