Let's face it, this was the one that did it for us all. The one that cut deeper than the rest; into the very fibres of our being. It left you feeling numb, with that sinking feeling in your stomach and the lump in your throat. It didn't matter how you found out Santa Claus didn't exist, it always sucked. Whether you found out from a friend in school or saw your parents wrapping your presents when you shouldn't have been awake, we all had that dream crushed in one way or another. When you really think about it, the thought of a fat, jolly flying-fellow gallivanting across the entire world in one night is ludicrous, and why would mum and dad agree to letting him climb down the chimney? The more and more you ponder, the more you question why you never caught on sooner - and soon the fantasy is completely shattered - reducing the legend from Miracle On 34th Street to nothing more than Billy Bob Thornton's Bad Santa.
