7. Mum And Dad Don't Have All The Answers

Do you remember sitting on the couch with your mum and dad while one of them helped you with your times tables? When they reeled off the trickier lists like the eights or the nines, you looked up at them as if they'd just told you the meaning of life. How were they so smart? Times tables were so hard! Yes, they were the champions of the junior school homework. Somewhere along the line, they must have taken a blow to the head. Coming to them with your primary school maths homework was one thing, but upon handing them quadratic equations and an essay on the short and long-term causes of the Second World War, their face turns a shade of white and a strange, quizzical look appears, like a monkey with a Gameboy.
