"And she said the other writers in the workshop no longer feel safe around you" ~Chuck Palahniuk

Lately, JRE episodes pull in upwards of 6-10M views on YouTube, author Chuck Palahniuk's interview is a comparatively hidden gem. He's best known for being the writer of Fight Club, later adapted into the movie starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. He also wrote Choke, which was also made into a movie with Sam Rockwell in the lead.

Chuck begins the show discussing censorship and its detriment to writing and creativity as a whole. He expands on his inspiration for writing and things that help motivate him. He doesn't shy away from talking about the darker aspects of his life, such as the death of his parents.

Listening to his ideas, experiences, and his outlook on humanity can be quite intense...Rogan even admits how intense he feels late in the podcast. Also, you just have to appreciate a guest that sits with the chair backwards the whole time.
