10 JFK Assassination Conspiracy Theories That Live On 50 Years After His Death

2. The Lyndon B Johnson Theory

Lbj The photograph of the recently-bereaved and visibly-horrified Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy standing next to Lyndon B. Johnson, wearing clothes stained with her husband's blood, during the swearing-in of his successor aboard Air Force One, is perhaps one of the most iconic - and tragic ones of the 20th century. There's no questioning LBJ had a lot to gain from Kennedy's death. As vice-president, it would be he who would be named President in said eventuality. With the 1964 election coming up, this theory asserts that LBJ hated the Kennedy's and feared being dropped from the ticket at the forthcoming elections. This is a theory fuelled by one man's greed and desperation to become President, which, in 1963 through to 1969, he did.
