10 Life Lessons You Should Learn From The Joker

2. Money Can't Buy Happiness

Philosophers and other thinkers have been trying for thousands of years to get a grip on the hard to pin down emotion of happiness, which arises with a rush of endorphins and can dissipate just as quickly. Many people think that money is the solution to any problem they could ever have. However, the Joker knows that this just isn't the case. See, the Joker has simple tastes. He enjoys dynamite, gunpowder, and gasoline. And you know the thing they have in common? They're cheap. In The Dark Knight he famously burns a huge pile of currency just to prove that "it's not about money." A lesson that a lot of people should take heed to. Happiness is a choice: you may choose to become never-satisfied janitors of our possessions, or take part in the Joker's philosophy and be free as birds.
