10. IFINDIT.COM
Before Google cemented its strangulating stronghold on the search engine market people had a choice as to how they searched the web. Whilst Lycos was the obvious winner of the early search engines (its mascot was a labrador - actual searching usefulness is made obsolete when a cute animal is involved), there were many to choose from, and IFINDIT.COMs (capitalisation is a must) boast that it was the largest super search guide on the net was probably not inaccurate, for around five minutes. Sadly the website is currently under construction, so we cant ascertain how effective it actually is, but the sleazy-feeling, Ceefax-esque neon adverts certainly make it feel like its 1998 all over again.
