Few British readers are likely to be unfamiliar with Paul Daniels - as a regular fixture on Saturday night prime time television along with his wife Debbie McGee (pictured with Daniels above), his face is one of the most well known in the history of British popular culture. While mostly remembered for being an all-round light entertainer - and more recently for being an outspoken supporter of the Tory party and unsympathetic to the plight of homeless people - earlier in his career he was one of the greatest illusionists performing in the UK.
