10 Models Redefining Beauty This Year

5. Lea T

This Brazilian-born, Italy-raised fashion model is the transgender daughter of well-known former Brazilian football player Toninho Cerezo. She was originally born as a male, but underwent sex reassignment surgery in 2012 after voicing her intentions the year before. She was first discovered by Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci and became the face of Givenchy in late 2010. She's featured in Vogue Paris, Hercules Magazine, and Interview Magazine but to name a few. In February this year, Lea T was chosen by Forbes magazine as one of the 12 women who have changed Italian fashion, and is now the face of American hair-care brand Redken and a pop culture icon of transgender advocacy in the LGBT community.
