10. Xbox One Reverse Compatibility Update
Perhaps this is the ultimate act of desperation in the Xbox One's attempt to claw back some ground in the console war, but it can't be denied that the upcoming update that'll allow you to play your old Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One is the best piece of console news in a long time. This isn't backwards compatibility in Sony's "stream PS3 games to your PS4 if you pay a fee and have an amazing internet connection" sense either. This is good old-fashioned "dust off your old Xbox 360 discs, stick 'em in your Xbox One, and you're away" backwards compatibility. The list of Xbox 360 games that will be playable keeps on growing too, and already features classics like Dark Souls II, Mass Effect and The Witcher 2. Best console firmware update ever? Quite possibly. The backwards compatibility update is set to be launched in November.
