10 Most Bizarre People Who Claimed To Be Jesus Reincarnate

7. William W. Davies

Claims of divinity are not just a modern-day phenomena though - no, William W. Davies is just one example of a 19th Century "reincarnated Jesus". Well, more precisely, Davies - who believed he was the archangel Michael and had been Adam, Abraham and David in various previous lives - claimed his eldest son Arthur was the reincarnated Jesus Christ, while he asserted his second child, David, was God The Father. Davies created the Kingdom of Heaven group - a Latter Day Saint schismatic group - in Washington, USA, in 1867 and ran the church until 1881. Arthur came to be known as "Walla Walla Jesus", in reference to the town in which he was born. However, Davies was sued by the church's 43 members for $3,200 in 1880 when both his children died of diphtheria and he dissolved the church as a result.
