They were staying near the world famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive Loch Ness Monster, and took images of it on an foggy day. The Betts didn't notice anything odd while visiting the location but later saw a strange pair of crafts above the water in the pictures. Alan hinted that the objects were non-terrestrial...
"I can't offer any logical explanation, I am probably one of the most skeptical people you could find about things like this but I just can't explain what it is. I know what it looks like though."
To confound the couple even further, they complained that their pet dog was acting "strangely unsettled" the following night, so much so that they joked that it might have caught a glimpse of Nessie. They wouldn't notice the objects in the picture until later.
