10 Most Intriguing Unsolved Murders Of All Time

7. JonBenét Ramsey

JonBenét Patricia Ramsey was only six years old when she was murdered in her home in Boulder, Colorado. On 26 December 1996 her mother, Patsy Ramsey, discovered that her daughter was missing after finding a ransom note demanding $118,000 for her safe return. After conducting a search of the Ramsey home, JonBenét's body was discovered in the basement covered in a white blanket. The autopsy confirmed the cause of death was asphyxiation. For four years the Ramsey's were the prime suspects of their daughters murder and handwriting experts confirmed that Patsy Ramsey was more than likely the writer of the ransom note. However in July 2008 new DNA technology cleared all members of the family without giving any further insight into who actually did it.
