10 Movies That Don’t Get Enough Love At Walt Disney World
9. Bambi
The movie based on the little deer who is set to be the future Prince of the Forest gets almost no attention at Walt Disney World.
Apart from a topiary at Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival there is not a single mention of Bambi or even his friend Thumper.
With it being a film based around animals it's understandable that there might not be a meet and greet with costumed characters but surely there is room for Bambi in Animal Kingdom?
Perhaps the film is considered too sad for visitors given the loss of Bambi's mother, one of the most heart-breaking moments in any Disney film (and really, the only thing anybody really remembers about it). It's a shame as really the film isn't only about her death and there are other characters in the movie that could be focused on. Thumper or even Flower would surely make fun characters to introduce children to.
Disney in the past lent Bambi to the United States Forest Service for a series of public service announcements about forest fires. Considering Animal Kingdom is a look at animal conservation this message would not be lost there?
