10 Mysterious Celebrity Deaths That Shocked The World

9. Marilyn Monroe

It was rumoured that the original blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe had been having an affair with the President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, shortly before her untimely death in August 1962 at the age of 36. It was also rumoured that she had been having an affair with his brother, Robert Kennedy, who at the time was the US Attorney General. Both men were assassinated a few years later, leaving speculation to spread like wildfire. Was it the Mafia, warning the Kennedys that anyone could be gotten to? Was it the FBI, or even the CIA? Marilyn€™s death has been linked to JFK€™s murder the following year for decades. It was claimed that her alleged suicide via overdose of barbiturates was staged, and even that Monroe hadn€™t actually died where her body had been found: that she€™d been moved before the official discovery of her corpse. Like any high profile case like this, the evidence that the death was an accidental overdose - or even suicide - was ignored by the theorists. In this case, however, with the political assassinations that followed€ do they have a point? It wouldn€™t be the first time that the murder of a beautiful woman uncovered a tangled web of plotting, scheming and murderous chicanery - after all, there€™s a reason it€™s the basis for some of the greatest film noir plots in history.
