3. Are The Dementors Really So Good At Their Job?
The answer to this appears to be no: the mass breakout from Azkaban suggests that actually, the soul-sucking prison guards were probably on their lunch break or something when all the terrible killing evil criminals escaped from Azkaban in The Order Of the Phoenix. The Dementors, which feature in the last five of the Harry Potter books, have a terrible affect on anyone who happens to bump into them (think Harry meets the Dementors while playing quidditch) - and yet can't bring themselves to group together to stop all the inmates from escaping. These are the monsters who can suck out a wizard's soul from a few hundred yards away, and fly and swoop through the air in a hurry when they want to. It's hardly believable, is it Rowling?
