10 Novels Strongly Connected To Stephen King's The Dark Tower

9. NOS4A2 (Joe Hill)

While it's not a Stephen King novel, Joe Hill's NOS4A2 does connect in to The Dark Tower series with several fun, deftly placed Easter Eggs. The character of The Gas Mask Man, for example, says the line "My life for you" to the villainous Charles Manx- something the Trash Can Man says to Randall Flagg (one of the antagonists of The Dark Tower) in The Stand, and something that is repeated again in the Dark Tower series.

The vampire-like Manx also speaks of the gates to Mid-World, part of the Dark Tower universe, and the line "the clearing at the end of the path" is used to describe Vic returning from Christmasland.

While Hill would state that he was just fooling around with these connections and not trying to tie his work to The Dark Tower, he actually did a superb job linking the two - enough that they feel as if the inhabit the same universe, at the very least.
