10 Outrageous Claims By UFO Whistleblowers
5. Britain's Roswell Shocks The World
In 1983 a popular U.K. tabloid ran this ominous headline: “UFO lands in Suffolk – and that’s official." The story of the article purported that Art Wallace (a pseudonym) had been involved in a U.S./British exercise in 1980 that involved several nights of UFO sightings.
Larry Warren, who used the Art Wallace name out of fear for taking his story public, claimed to observe the strange phenomenon on the third night of its appearance. Wallace would confront a triangle shaped craft along with a few other officers in an event known as the Rendlesham Forest Incident.
Parts of Warren's account differ from that of the other witness accounts but many witnesses have come forward to verify that an incident did take place. Official memos have been released supporting some of the claims and an official tape of authorities measuring radiation samples has become public.
The event that's been referred to as "Britain's Roswell" has led to much speculation as to what actually was observed and none of it would have been known if not for the claims of Larry Warren.
