10 Problems Only Skateboarders Will Understand

1. That Feeling When You Finally Land Your Trick

If you could land every trick you€™ve ever tried perfectly, would skateboarding still be fun? Doubt it. Part of the fun of skateboarding is battling for your trick. You have to fight to land your trick; otherwise there would be hardly any enjoyment. When you finally land that trick, no matter whether it is clearing a long gap, kickflipping down a humungous stair set, making a massive air, or simply ollieing up a curb, you will be overcome with a euphoric sensation that only fellow skateboarders can understand. It€™s that feeling that you have earned this ecstatic joy. The fact that you have worked hard, pushed yourself to the limit, and come out on top. Without this battle, skateboarding would become repetitive and mundane. This fight to go faster, higher, further and more technical is why so many people around the world spend so much of their time on a plank of wood with four wheels. It not only gives us a sense of identity, it lets us push ourselves as far as we can, and the rewards for this are incredibly gratifying. What did you think? Is there anything we missed out? What would you put in? Let us know in the comments below.
