4. James St. James - $2.5 Million
James St. James was one of the original NYC Club Kids in the late 80s alongside Michael Alig and the infamous DISCO 2000. Coming from wealth and moving to New York, she became notorious for excessive drug use, partying, and her bizarre fashion sense. She later wrote Disco Bloodbath which documents Aligs rise to fame and the murder of drug dealer roommate Andre Melendez. This was later made into the successful indie feature film Party Monster starring Macaulay Culkin. James St. James now curates the World of Wonder Gallery and contributes to the WOW Report on the World of Wonder production companys website. She also hosts Transformations, the hugely popular weekly web series on YouTube, where guests transform James into different forms of drag. It is James' outlandish fashion and ever evolving style that has made her hugely popular and enduring as a drag artist.
