When something is the subject of a Muse album title, it is now not so much conspiracy theory as... well, it's still a conspiracy theory, but the eternally paranoid Matt Bellamy has something to wail about and play unnecessary long guitar solos over. The facts says that HAARP is a US government facility where they test out new radio equipment. There are those who know that the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program is just a front for something else, though. Well, there's a lot of people who have a lot of thoughts about what exactly that hidden use is, and nobody can agree; Bellamy and co reckon it's a secret mind-control base. People take photos of chemtrails above it. Far more convincing is the suggestion that it's a secret alien base. The Alaskan location is heavily guarded by the military, nobody knows what goes on there, and another theory reckons that the weather is being messed with up there. So the UFOs that land can get a clearer landing path when you've dispersed all the storm clouds, obviously.
