10 Secret Walt Disney World Areas You Need To Know

6. The Disney Tree Farm

When you think of Disney World, one of the first things that come to mind is the ‘Tree of Life’ in Animal Kingdom. A truly iconic vision of Disney embroiled within the wooden giant.

On that note, Walt Disney World has its own humongous tree farm that is used to support its environmental and horticultural operations. The farm is where Disney cultivates and grows a huge range of trees, flowers and foliage to help decorate the parks with as much greenery as humanly possible.

The farm also specialises in character topiaries, which are trimmed and designed to perfection before being transported into the parks. It wouldn’t be very Disney to see a bunch of cast members trimming tree clippings away during a beautifully busy day.

Watching the fully grown trees and planters get transported on articulated lorries across the Floridian interstates is a sight to behold. That is why you will never see any saplings or ‘ground-under-repair’ because it is all grown to peak height and consistency off-site.
