Ricardo Caputo was a serial killer known for his moniker The Lady Killer, due to his charm and boyish good looks, allowing him to murder at least four and as many as six women in New York, Mexico City and California throughout the 1970s and early 1980s.

Caputo was actually tried for his first murder in 1971, of 19-year-old Nathalie Brown, but was found mentally incompetent to stand trial, after which he escaped from Manhattan Psychiatric Center.

Caputo then became a fugitive for more than two decades, earning the #1 spot on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list several times.

In March 1994, he finally surrendered to police and was sentenced to 25 years in prison, though died of a heart attack barely three years later at the age of 48.
