Batman is cool. That is a fact. He's also hugely popular and, as a result, Batman merchandise is hot property and extremely collectable - especially given that he has ventured away from DC comic books in to other sources, such as the world of live action movies (and been incredibly successful in doing so). Batman toys in particular sell very, very well. Some of the Batman toys that have been brought out are awesome - for both kids and adult Batman fans alike. The attention to detail, in modern toys in particular, as far as the best toys are concerned, is sometimes fantastic and lifelike, and the accessories that come with them are fun to mess around with. However, some Batman toys - both official and unofficial - are nothing short of horrific. Some Batman toys look awful, some serve absolutely no purpose, some are an abomination of concepts and some are just downright ridiculous. Dishonourable Mention: Custom My Little Pony Batman
This custom, fan-made effort (from someone who is clearly a fan of both, which is bizarre) combines the very masculine hero Batman with the most feminine and camp of toylines, My Little Pony. It's all kinds of wrong and we pray that toy companies do not get any crazy ideas if and when they see it. And now on to the actual list...
