Talking about periods is quite a common conversation for girls: whether she's about to come on her period, is mid-period, has just come off her period, or is rejoicing because she still has two more weeks before she next has to suffer through yet another god damn period, there's a whole lot of period chat available if you want it. The problem is, most men (maybe almost all men) probably don't want to hear it. It's not because they don't care - of course your boyfriend's going to get some Dairy Milk for you when you're writhing around on your bedroom floor because 'oooooh it hurts so so much' - but lets be honest here. When a man fancies you because you're funny and smart and amazing, you expressing how terrible it is to be in the middle of losing a whole lot of blood from your vagina because you're a victim of being born a female isn't exactly going to increase his admiration for you.
