10 Things They Don't Tell You About Working In A Cinema

5. You'll Turn into Gordon Ramsay

"I wouldn't trust you to run a bath, let alone a restaurant!" - Gordon Ramsay

If you've seen any episode of Kitchen Nightmares, you can picture the scene where Gordon Ramsay is presented with the yellow, orange goop that constitutes nacho cheese. The famously delicate TV chef would find his constitution sorely tested when witnessing a staff member hurriedly diluting this concoction of additives, colourings, flavourings and 2% of actual cheese for hungry patrons.

On a busy blockbuster opening weekend, you can often find members of management or harangued staff members venting their frustrations at each other. Don't be surprised if you hear the utterly ridiculous line "running out of popcorn is VERY serious!"

Aside from the high pressure environment behind the scenes of your place of work, you'll find yourself morphing into Gordon Ramsay when visiting other cinemas. If you truly love movies, you'll soon find yourself visiting other places to seek the escape that films can provide. However, you'll be so damaged by the things that you've seen and experienced that you'll find yourself pointing out errors to your disinterested companion.

You'll say things like "It shouldn't take this long to make a Tango Ice Blast, the syrup must not have frozen properly" or "They'll never get through all those hotdogs on a Tuesday night", and other such scintillating details that will ensure you never get a second date.
