2. Musk Himself Will Be One Of The First To Get The Implant

As you can probably imagine, while there would no doubt be queues in the thousands lined up once the efficacy of brain implants was proven, it's probably fair to say that being a guinea pig for a highly experimental form of surgery that involves drilling a hole in one's skull isn't at the top of most rational people's lists of priorities.

Musk explained on the podcast that the first recipients of the implants will be people who have suffered severe brain injuries, and if they are successful the technology will then be rolled out on a larger scale, with Musk stating that once it is proven to work he will have the procedure done.

However, if the Tesla CEO's predictions on the possibilities of neurotechnology are accurate, its possible that with an implant there could be an even smarter Musk doing business and running the world in the years to come, and that's are prospect that, while exciting, would not sound out of place as a supervillain's origin story.
