4. It Cost The Same To Build As The Entire Disneyland Park

When Disneyland in Anaheim was built in 1955 it cost around $17 million for Walt Disney to see his dream come to life.

Only 20 years later Space Mountain cost around the same amount for one singular attraction. The ride was an epic feat of technology at the time and Disney needed to borrow $10 million dollars from RCA to build it.

The ride was sponsored by the company until 1994 when FedEx took over. Currently there are no sponsors for the attraction.
