6. She Flew Out Of New York City On September 11, 2001
Plenty of actors, actresses and famous figures have had eerie near-misses with death, but while Mara wasn't in direct danger, she was caught up in the skies while the horrifying events of 9/11 took place. She was on a flight from New York City to Los Angeles when the planes struck the twin towers, meaning he plane had to be re-directed to land as soon as possible as the country went into lockdown. Mara told the Daily Mail: "I was on a flight to Los Angeles when the captain announced that we had to land in Kansas City. None of us on the plane knew what was going on but when we landed, one of the passengers said theyd heard the World Trade Center had been bombed. My family couldnt get through to me and they were completely freaking out, wondering whether I was on one of the planes that crashed."
