While not known generally for his input into Hollywood films, Coogans definitely been there and done that. In 2000 he followed in the footsteps of his hero Peter Sellers and took on a few film roles, which he now despises. (He played Phileas Fogg in Around The World In 80 Days, a Roman general in Night At The Museum and a corporate cupid in The Alibi, which went straight to DVD). The experience left him feeling hollow and embarrassed, and these days he accepts that the decision was wrong. "I went to America and did mediocre parts in mediocre films. I never did it because I wanted to. I did it because I was told that this is what I was supposed to do. And I didn't feel comfortable. I felt like a dick."
I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
