9. Feel The Shape Of The Present Through The Wrapping Paper
This method is the old classic, but it is often as efficient as any other means to find out what you are receiving at Yuletide. One must wonder if the person who invented wrapping paper was often keen on finding out what he was getting for Christmas, as they offer little to no mystique. "Okay, this present is in a thin box, and when I rattle it there is the sound of a disc. I wonder what that could be?" With enough experience you begin to distinguish between the sizes of various video games casing to at least take an educated guess. Unfortunately, that is all this method offers you - an educated guess based on the shape of the present. If it feels like a book, then imagine what sort of book your gifter would get you and hope for that, whilst simultaneously preparing for disappointment. If you like reading football players' biographies then it is unlikely to be a recipe book, unless your girlfriend is trying to tell you something. However, the feeling of presents is easy, causes no damage and is virtually guilt free, and adds a hint of suspense to the actual day itself, which is always good when you are trying to enjoy yourself over the arguing of your uncle and his pregnant "on-off" girlfriend.
