Trump has had many business experiments not worthy of this list. Every ambitious businessman is going to have some successes and some failures. But nothing encapsulated Trump's approach to business like Trump Shuttle, his acquisition in the airline industry. Trump justified exorbitant fares by making the planes' mere existence outrageously expensive. They had white livery, maple wood veneers, chrome seat-belt latches and - of course - gold-plated toilets. This ridiculous business failure didn't cost Trump a cent - it was financed by a $380 million loan from 22 banks. So why should he be embarrassed about it? Trump, like fellow reality stars Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, enjoys similar accouterments on his private jet.
