BigDog is a quadruped robot created by Boston Dynamics, designed with the intention of serving soldiers as an all-terrain pack mule. Using four legs for movement, BigDog is capable of automatically stabilising itself even after stumbling or navigating steep, rough terrain. The motors that power BigDog get a bit loud, so there's little chance of it being used during missions requiring stealth.
