The Slender Man is a work of fiction created in 2009 on the Something Awful Forum. He is an exceptionally tall man with abnormally large limbs, usually has a blank face and is wearing a black suit. He preys on children; traumatising them and kidnapping them. But last year, two twelve year old girls attempted to kill for him. On May 31st 2014, two girls lured one of their friends into the woods and stabbed her 19 times with a large kitchen knife, all in the name of the Slender Man. The victim managed to crawl out onto the main road where she was spotted by a cyclist who called 911. The girl was in surgery for six hours and the knife wounds cut open her stomach, bladder and two major arteries. The two girls were convinced that the Slender Man was real and the only way that they could win his approval and keep themselves and their families safe from him, was to kill for him. The two girls will be tried in an adult court.
